Parecia improvavel mas aconteceu. O berço do punk rock e de toda cena nova yorquina de 1977 fechou suas portas no ultimo domingo com um show de patti smith, em outras palavras eu nunca vou poder colocar os pés no lugar onde muitos de meus ídolos como Ramones, dead boys, heartbreakers, blondie, Television, dictators e muitos outros começaram a escrever memoraveis histórias do rock.
Quando fiquei sabendo da noticia dediquei alguns minutos para ouvir em sinal de luto uma música conhecida que representa muito este lugar que nunca sera esquecido. Tambem vou sair neste final de semana com meu moletom que ostenta o simbolo, uma grande pena.
